MORVEN STUDENT DAYS

UVA students are invited to explore, experience, and enjoy Morven’s unique landscape. Form 11 AM - 5 PM, we invite you to use our indoor and outdoor spaces to study and relax. These spaces include our Formal Garden, Main House, beautiful historic buildings, and more!

WHAT TO BRING

  • Reusable Water-bottle/Coffee Mug

  • Wear or bring socks if you plan to enter the Japanese Pavilion

  • Sunscreen/Bug Spray

  • Picnic Blanket

Student Day Shuttle Details

  • First Come, First Served pickup from McCormick Road beside the University Chapel.

  • Pickups from UVA Grounds at 10:30AM, 11:45AM, 1:00PM, 2:15PM, and 3:30PM. Departures from Morven back to UVA grounds at 11:00AM, 12:15AM, 1:30PM, 2:45PM, 4:00PM, and 5:00PM.

  • All shuttle riders must sign up for a return shuttle spot upon arrival to Morven to guarantee a return seat.

  • Shuttles are on a first come, first serve basis. Please sign up for a return shuttle when you arrive at Morven.

  • Photography Policy

    • By visiting Morven or participating in programs or events, visitors grant permission for any photographs of them to be used for educational and promotional purposes. If a visitor does not consent and wishes to opt out, please visit the front welcome table at student days. Or, email morvenevents@virginia.edu ahead of the event.

Property Guidelines

  • Buildings: Please stick to the buildings noted for use upon arrival at the welcome table. Some buildings are in use a staff offices and are not accessible to guests.

  • Gardens: The gardeners who keep this property looks spectacular work hard to keep the grounds pristine. Please be respectful of them and ensure any debris ends up in the appropriate waste baskets found inside the Main House or Meeting Barn.

  • Roads: Please keep an eye out for traffic on the roadways as you are traveling across the property. When driving, please follow the 15MPH speed limit.

  • WIFI: Guest WiFi info is posted in each building, please ask a staff member if you need help locating. Most buildings automatically connect to UVA eduroam.

  • Staff Contacts: MSL staff is on site during your visit, please visit the contact page on our website for team phone numbers.
