The joy of COMPOST
There's nothing like a big, warm pile of... compost. Yep, that's right. The Kitchen Garden was just graced by the folks at Panorama Pay Dirt, who undoubtedly have some of the best compost in town, and we (and our plants) couldn't be happier!Meanwhile, we are gearing up for tomorrow's Back to School BBQ in the garden - pulling weeds, planting seeds, and harvesting like crazy! This week we are getting into fall mode by planting lettuces, beets, carrots, cabbage, kale... and there's more on the way as the weather starts cooling down. All in all, August has treated our little garden well. The sunflowers are blooming, the tomatoes just keep on producing, and the pumpkins are slowly showing tinges of orange. Join us in the garden tomorrow to see how things are growing! Here are a few more photos of the garden as we transition into fall...... thanks for checking in, we hope to see you tomorrow!
